Air Quality Management

Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (CAQM)

Ambient Air quality monitoring was privatised in 1995 and Alam Sekitar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (ASMA) has been awarded a 20+2 years concession to design, build, operate and maintain a network of 52 continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations.
ASMA CAQM stations are designed to continuously measure ambient air for gaseous pollutants (SO2, NO2, O3, CO, HC), particulate matters (PM10 & PM2.5) and also a few meteorological parameters (Wind Speed, Wind Direction, UVB and Temperature).
ASMA provides complete air monitoring solutions, with fully integrated air monitoring systems. Employing state-of-the-art instrumentation to continuously monitor the major pollutant gases in the air, ASMA caters to the rigorous needs of its clients in providing precise and accurate monitoring data.

Manual Air Quality Monitoring (MAQM)

Besides the CAQM, ASMA is capable to deploy Manual Air Quality Monitoring stations (utilizing equipment such as High Volume Sampler, E-BAM, etc) to measure Total Suspended Particle (TSP), Particulate Matter (PM10 & PM2.5) and several heavy metals. The measurement is manually collected and delivered to our ISO 17025 laboratory for analysis.
